Working With Ellern Mede
Ellern Mede has been providing evidence-based specialised treatment for children and young people with eating disorders since 2000. We support children and young people as inpatients aged 8 to 18 years as well as young adults aged 18 to 25, and outpatients aged 12 to 25. We offer a full care pathway to achieve exceptional rates of recovery. We can assist young people who are emerging from CAMHS to continue into adult services, to the community or back home.

About Our Roles
Registered Nurse (RMN, RNLD, Peadiatric)
In return for your expertise, you will receive support to develop your nursing practice, management skills and plan an integral part in enhancing the care provided to our young people. This position plays an important part in engaging with the whole care team, with a focus on developing the skills of all staff members.

Healthcare Assistant
Healthcare Assistants play a vital role in supporting our young people with their treatment and the ward team to deliver outstanding care.
Working with children and young people with eating disorders can be exceptionally challenging. You will need to be emotionally resilient at times, however you will be working as part of team who will support you and develop your carers skills.
Multi-disciplinary Teams (MDT)
Our teams consist of experienced and dedicated professionals who provide the best evidence-based specialist treatment to our young people.
We engage with the families, third party providers and the young people to ensure they are provided with the right support for their health needs.
Each hospitals MDT includes Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and many more.
Family Therapist
Ensuring each young person and their families have the most suitable treatment plan and support from all professionals s is essential in supporting them to improve their condition. Using a variety of generic and discipline specific models, our Family Therapists warmth towards our young people will support them to feel positive about their lives during the most difficult time of their lives.
